There has been rumours flying around the mill about 1440p coming to the Xbox One X. Something that should of been there from the start, especially when most games on the console either run at 1080p60 or 4k30. Me and you both know it’s capable of more than 60 frames at 1080p on a lot of games so why not pump it up to 1440p60? I’s definitely got the potential.
To appease gamer’s, a tweet from Kevin Gammill, Xbox Partner Group Program Manager, has stated that not only will it be coming to Xbox One X but also Xbox One S as well. Now that’s something I wasn’t expecting at all. It’s not full gaming on Xbox One S however, it will see support for the resolution, only Xbox One X will play games in 1440p. This is according to Neowin. Check out the tweet below:
Many questions recently around the timing of our 1440p support. Those of you in our early preview ring should be pleasantly surprised very soon if you have an Xbox One S or Xbox One X.

The update is expected to come next week for Xbox Insiders, this is coming from another tweet but this time from Xbox Insider Head, Brad Rossetti:
Xbox One Insiders – Happy Monday to everyone, lets keep our fingers crossed and see what the week brings us!
